Believers in Christ are given the privilege of being able to move God by the words that they speak. The Bible clearly teaches us that words of faith draw God’s attention to us and our situations. We touch God’s emotions, releasing His favor over us as we speak words of faith. Words of faith are simply the word of God found in Holy Scripture. The Word is filled with promises that can affect every area of our lives and our families. As we speak God’s word, we are tapping into the God-kind of faith that Jesus Himself said we are to have if we are to see mountains moved in our lives, thus bringing pleasure to the heart of the Lord by our faith. We can see this kind of faith in the life of the Apostle Paul when he said in the book of Galatians that he lived by the faith of the Son of God (Gal. 2:20). I truly believe that we are living in a day when the Holy Spirit is once again reminding the Western Church of the importance of returning to the foundation of Holy Scripture, provoking us to once again make faith the bedrock of our salvation.
